Explanation ingredients Madras Sambar Powder

Coriander: the leaves have a lemony flavor, while the seeds have a slightly sweet, aniseed flavor.

Preparation Madras Sambar Powder

  1. Soak 160 grams of lentils in 250 milliliters of water and let it boil for 10 minutes in a pressure cooker.
  2. Keep it separate.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai or pan, add mustard seeds, onions, curry leaves and green chilies.
  4. Then add tomatoes and egg plants.
  5. Add Aachi Sambar powder, coriander leaves and 750 ml of water.
  6. Cook this for 10 minutes with the lid closed.
  7. Add the tamarind juice, followed by the lentils and cilantro leaves.
  8. Finally, add salt.
  9. The sambar is ready to serve.
