Toor Dhal is a standard ingredient in Indian cooking. It is rich in fiber and protein.
Toor Dhal has a mild flavor with a nutty aroma. Without having to soak the lentils, you can use the lentils to make delicious traditional Indian dishes, such as curries (including tarka), soups (such as rasam) or South Indian stews (including sambar).
You can also grind the lentils into a lentil flour for preparing dough to make pappadum, for example.
