Ragi vermicelli is a healthier version of vermicelli. Made from ground whole Ragi seeds, Ragi is an excellent source of iron, fiber, protein and calcium. Ragi is delicious for breakfast (much of India makes a popular dish called Upma, a hearty dish usually consumed for breakfast) or with dinner. It can be prepared for both spicy and sweet dishes. Kheer and Semiya Payasam are sweet dessert dishes that are milk-based puddings.

Ragi Vermicelli preparation

  1. Take 4.5 liters of plain water and the required amount of salt.
  2. Add 450 grams of Anil Ragi Vermicelli.
  3. Leave it on for 3 minutes and let the excess water drain.
  4. Do not keep it or keep it longer than 3 minutes, otherwise it will lose its nature.
  5. Then boil it in the steam for 5 minutes.
  6. Now Anil Ragi Vermicelli is ready for your recipe.


Alternative 1 (Upma)

Heat enough oil in the frying pan, add mustard seeds, black gram, onion, green chilies and enough salt.
Then add the cooked Anil Ragi Vermicelli to the pan and mix everything thoroughly for five minutes and serve hot.


Alternative 2: (sweet)
