Low in calories

The umami taste of fish sauce gives depth to (dip) sauces, stir-fries, marinades and vinaigrettes. Contrary to what the strong smell of this popular Asian seasoning might suggest, the taste does not dominate but blends well into the dish.

Fish sauce is also called the liquid salt, so you can use fish sauce instead of salt.
